Here's where you can find all of the firmware files for our products in one place. Please read ALL of the below instructions and disclaimers very carefully before flashing your device with new firmware. All updates are at your own risk. Products bricked during an unnecessary update or with incorrect firmware are not eligible for warranty service, replacement, or return.
Here is how it works:
- There are 3 lists for 3 Z-Wave regions that our products are available for: North America, Europe, and Australia. Always download the files for your region only. If you're not sure which frequency your product is on, please get in touch with our support to help you verify this information.
- Locate your product in the list below using the model number and version.
- Check the current firmware version of your device to make sure the file you're about to download is the correct version.
- Download the file and proceed according to the OTA firmware update instructions here.
Before you proceed, please read this!
- Remember to unzip the file after downloading it before using it to update your device. 500 series device files will use the .otz or .hex format while 700 series device files will use the .gbl format.
- Always double-check that you're applying the correct firmware file to the right model and version of your Zooz device. Loading the wrong version to your device may deem it unusable.
- You may need to exclude and re-include the device after the update is complete for best performance. Please consider you may need to rebuild all of your automations and settings for the device.
Troubleshooting Steps
- If you notice an error about the wrong fragment size, please change the fragment size to 20 before attempting the update again.
- If your device doesn't function correctly after the update is complete, please exclude it from your hub, factory reset the device, and then re-include it.

ZST39 800 Long Range Z-Wave Stick
Issues have been reported with the SDK 7.19.0 and higher around controller lock-up that can be present in edge cases. Most controllers and installations will not be affected by them so please do NOT update your Z-Wave stick unless you've been able to replicate these exact issues in your set-up. Firmware 1.50 has resolved 99% of these lockups and is the recommended firmware version if you experienced any of the lockup issues.
