The ZSE11 Q Sensor will be recognized correctly on the Z-Box right out of the box. Simply power the device by battery OR USB (never both!) and follow the steps below to include the sensor to your Z-Box Hub. You can add the sensor using the Z-Box web interface or the Z-Box Hub mobile app, and we've included instructions below for both methods:
Follow the steps below to add the ZSE11 from the Z-Box web interface:
- Power the sensor: Insert the batteries or the USB cable. The LED indicator will start blinking.
- From the sidebar navigation menu of the Z-Box web interface, go to Settings by clicking on the gear icon.
- You will be redirected to the Devices menu.
- Click on + Add device.
- Select the Z-Wave Device option.
- Be prepared to start inclusion on the ZSE11. Click Start.
- While the hub is in inclusion mode, click the Z-Wave button on the ZSE11 3 times as quickly as possible (the LED indicator will start flashing).
- Enter the 5-digit DSK code when prompted.
- Once the device is detected successfully, you will see the list of all child devices that have been detected. Click Next.
- Rename your device and assign it to a room. Click Next.
- Click Finish once done editing all devices.
How to add the ZSE11 from the Z-Box Hub mobile app
- Open the Z-Box Hub app on your mobile device.
- Click More in the bottom navigation menu.
- Click on + Add Devices.
- Click on Z-Wave Protocol and follow the same inclusion steps as described for the WEB UI above.
*If you’re using an S2 hub, it will ask you to enter the DSK key or scan the QR code printed on the back coversticker to complete SmartStart inclusion.
