So you made a change to the advanced settings, but they haven't taken effect or your hub shows a pending change? You may need to wake your sensor manually if it was included to your hub via battery power!
As per standard Z-Wave protocol, all battery powered devices are normally sleeping, to conserve battery. If you've made a change to the advanced settings for the ZSE70 and the unit is running on battery, the change will take effect once the device wakes up to receive communication from the hub. The sensor’s wake-up interval is set to 4 hours by default to save battery life. You can use the Wake Up Command Class if supported on your hub to adjust the interval (in seconds, working in 3600s intervals, with 3600 as min and 86400 as max values).
You can also manually wake the sensor to receive any communication from the hub and have parameter changes take effect immediately:
- Click the Z-Wave button once to wake the sensor up manually. During wake-up, the sensor turns the Z-Wave radio for 10 seconds to receive communication from the hub. Long wake-up interval will not affect how oen the sensor reports motion or other values to your hub.
