The ZEN34 Remote Switch is now integrated with Alarm.com, and can be used to program scene activation. While you are not able to directly trigger another device with the ZEN34 at this time or access the advanced settings, you can trigger any scene with the multi-tap functionality of the paddles. You can program single tap, 2-tap, 3-tap, 4-tap, 5-tap and held for both the upper and the lower paddle separately.

Please note: In Rules Builder you can only control/trigger another scene; you are not able to control another device directly. Please ensure you have created the scene you want to trigger with the ZEN34 before programming the scene buttons.

 

Check out the steps below to start programming your ZEN34 on Alarm.com:

 

1. From the Home page, choose More:

 

2. Click Manage Devices:

 

3. In the Remotes section, click the 3 dots for the ZEN34 Remote Switch and then click Device Settings:

 

4. You are now on the ZEN34 settings page. Scroll to the Automation section. Click Configure under the desired button:

        

 

5. You are now in the Rules Builder section. Click Select under Then:

 

6. Click Scene. NOTE: In Rules Builder you can only control another scene; you are not able to control another device directly, so please ensure you have created the scene you want to trigger with the ZEN34 first.

 

7. Choose the desired scene you want to trigger and click Done if you only wish to use the single click. If you wish to use the  multi-tap, continue to step 8:

 

8. OPTIONAL: Using the pen icon, you can edit to select the multi-tap options. If you prefer to use only the single-click, do not click edit:

 

9. Choose your preferred button action and click Done:

 

10. Click Save and choose a name for your new rule. Hit OK and this will exit the wizard:
