This is product is discontinued and replaced with the ZEN04 or ZEN15. What does that mean?
It goes by many names, but we use the word "inclusion" for the process of adding or pairing a device to your Z-Wave system.
You can include the Double Plug using auto-inclusion or manual inclusion. Here's how to include it automatically.
- Put your Z-Wave hub into inclusion mode (see your controller's device manual, as each brand is different)
- Plug the Double Plug into the grounded 120VAC receptacle you plan to use it with (it doesn't need to be within direct range of your Z-Wave hub)
- Four new on/off devices should appear on your device list (see below)
To include the unit manually, follow the steps below. Manual inclusion is useful is auto-inclusion didn't work for some reason, but also for troubleshooting purposes:
- Plug the Double Plug into the grounded 120VAC receptacle you plan to use it with (it doesn't need to be within direct range of your Z-Wave hub)
- Put your Z-Wave hub into inclusion mode (see your controller's device manual, as each brand is different)
- Press and release the Z-Wave button 3 TIMES QUICKLY
- All LED indicators should start flashing
- Four new on/off devices should appear on your device list (see below)
NOTE: Whether you include the device automatically or manually, you’ll see 4 new on/off devices in your app:
- 2 channels for on/off control
- 1 channel for on/off monitoring (the USB port reporting charging / charged status, no control)
- 1 master node to control both outlets at the same time and to access and adjust advanced settings in (if your hub supports parameter input)
If you've tried the steps above and find that inclusion isn't working for you, try this first.
