This is product is discontinued and does not have a replacement yet. New product in development. What does that mean?
After you've checked that your RGBW Dimmer works well with the connected LED Strip and (optional) momentary wall switch, now it's time to add the unit to your Z-Wave system.
There are many words for it depending on the system you're using, but the standard term we use is "inclusion." Inclusion is just the process of adding or pairing a device to your Z-Wave system. Here's how to include your RGBW Dimmer to your Z-Wave system:
- Put your Z-Wave hub into inclusion mode (see your hub's manual for specific inclusion steps as each hub is different)
- While your hub is searching for a new device, click the Z-Wave button 3 times quickly to finalize the inclusion process
- The LED will blink yellow to indicate communication with the hub. It will blink green (for non-secure, S0, or S2 unauthenticated inclusion) or magenta (for S2 authenticated) once the device is successfully included to your network.
- A new device will appear on your controller's device list.
If you tried including the RGBW Dimmer and don't get any inclusion confirmation of any kind, try this first. If you have any questions about the process, let our team know! We're always here to help.
