This is product is discontinued and does not have a replacement yet. New product in development. What does that mean?
Hubitat has officially integrated the ZEN31 RGBW Dimmer to work directly from out of the box.
If you're using the latest Hubitat C-7 hub, you'll want to select Include with security on your security screen when prompted since the RGBW Dimmer supports S2 Smart Start. If you're using an older Hubitat hub, you can go ahead and include the device per the steps below as older Hubitat hubs do not support S2 security.
You can use the steps below to connect your ZEN31 to Hubitat. The process should be quick and easy:
-
Open Hubitat in your Internet browser
-
Go to Devices
-
Click on + Add Device in the top right corner
-
Click on Z-Wave
-
Click on Start Z-Wave Inclusion
-
While the app says is in inclusion mode, click the Z-Wave button on the device 3 times as quickly as possible (LED indicator will start flashing)
-
Rename and confirm the found device
If the RGBW Dimmer is not pairing with your hub, you can try excluding it first, even if it has never been added. The process is a soft reset that helps with different configuration issues. The ZEN31’s advanced settings should also be available in device view on Hubitat. If they’re not visible, you should check if your Hubitat platform is up-to-date and then use these steps to access the advanced settings.
If your ZEN31 still won’t add, send us a message! We’ll be happy to help.
