How to Add Your ZEN27 Dimmer Switch to Hubitat

The ZEN27 Switch can be added to your network right out of the box since it is officially integrated with Hubitat.

If your Hubitat hub supports S2 security (currently only C-7), you need to select S2 Unauthenticated when prompted, so that your Dimmer Switch is successfully paired. Older Hubitat hubs don't support S2 security so you don't have to worry about your switch's security level. 

The step-by-step instructions below show you how to add your ZEN27 to Hubitat:

  1. Open Hubitat in your Internet browser

  2. Go to Devices

  3. Click on + Add Device in the top right corner

  4. Click on Z-Wave

  5. Click on Start Z-Wave Inclusion

  6. While the app says is in inclusion mode, tap the upper paddle of the dimmer 3 times as quickly as possible (LED indicator will start flashing)

  7. Rename and confirm the found device

You may need to exclude the switch from Hubitat first if it seems to be having trouble connecting. The process can be done if a device has not been added to a hub before to fix any configuration issues that the switch might be having. You should also be able to access the advanced settings for the ZEN27 from device view on Hubitat. If you can’t, you’ll need to check that your Hubitat platform is operating on the latest version and then install this custom device driver for the ZEN27.
