Have the ZEN20 Power Strip paired to Home Assistant in just a few easy steps!
Zooz products are now officially integrated with the new ZWaveJS integration of Home Assistant so please update to the JS integration before pairing your ZEN20. If you're experiencing issues with accessing the advanced settings of your ZEN20, we would recommend excluding and re-including your Power Strip once on the JS integration to make sure it can be recognized correctly.
After powering up your Power Strip by plugging it into a grounded receptacle, you can add the device to your system using these steps:
- In Home Assistant: open Configuration > Integrations > Z-Wave JS > Configure.
- Click on Add node.
- Click on Start Inclusion to initiate pairing.
- While the system is in inclusion mode, press the CH1 button 3 times very quickly (All LED indicators will start flashing)
- Home Assistant will confirm a successful inclusion. You will see 7 or 8 new on/off devices in your interface: 5 channels for on/off control, 2 channels for on/off monitoring (USB ports reporting charging/ charged status, no control), and possibly one master node to access and adjust advanced settings in.
* If you’re using an S2 hub, it will ask you to enter the DSK PIN or scan the QR code printed on the plug.
Once the device has been added to your hub, you'll be able to create rules for it, control it remotely, and customize it via the advanced settings. If you are having issues adding the device to your network, the first thing to try is exclusion which is a type of soft Z-Wave reset.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need help pairing your plug to Home Assistant, or if you have any other questions!
