Once you've wired and powered up your MultiRelay, it's time to add it to Home Assistant:
First, we recommend updating to the new ZWaveJS integration, then excluding and re-including your ZEN16 to your network in order for it to be recognized correctly. Zooz products are now officially integrated with the JS integration of Home Assistant and you should have access to all of the Multirelay's advanced settings on it.
After that, add the device to Home Assistant using these steps:
- In Home Assistant: open Configuration > Integrations > Z-Wave JS > Configure.
- Click on Add node.
- Click on Start Inclusion to initiate pairing.
- Click the Z-Wave button 3 times as quickly as possible (the LED indicator will start flashing)
- The ZEN16 500 series supports S2 Unauthenticated security only so if HA prompts you for a security PIN, please ignore that request. The 700 series ZEN16 supports S2A, so you will enter the PIN located on the QR code on the bottom of the device.
- Home Assistant will confirm that the relay was added, and it will be immediately visible in your device list.
- 4 new on/off entities will be created: 1 main one to control all 3 relays at the same time and to adjust advanced settings and 3 child devices to control each relay individually.
* If you’re using an S2 hub, it will ask you to enter the DSK PIN or scan the QR code printed on the device.
Once the MultiRelay has been added to your hub, you'll be able to create rules for it, control it remotely, and customize it via the advanced settings.
If you are having issues adding the MultiRelay to your network, the first thing to try is exclusion which is a type of Z-Wave reset.
