Having trouble including the ZEN14 Outdoor Double Plug to Hubitat? The first step to try is exclusion.
Excluding the Double Plug from Hubitat can assist with any connectivity or configuration issues. This process can be completed even if it was never added to the hub’s network, and acts as a soft reset. Before beginning exclusion, please ensure your Hubitat platform is operating on the latest version.
Use these steps to exclude your device:
-
Open Hubitat in your Internet browser
-
Go to Devices
-
Click on + Add Device in the top right corner
-
Click on Z-Wave
-
Click on Start Z-Wave Exclusion
-
While the device is searching for a device, press the Z-Wave button on the device 3 times quickly
-
The app will indicate when the device is successfully excluded.
Once you’ve successfully excluded the Double Plug, you can try to include it to your hub using these steps.
You've tried exclusion and still can't include the ZEN14? Give these troubleshooting steps a try:
-
Try the exclusion process again in case it didn't work the first time.
-
Try pressing the Z-Wave button 4-5 times instead of 3 during inclusion in case the command isn't being recognized.
-
Move the ZEN14 to a location nearer to the hub to rule out any range issues. You can also try to add the Outdoor Plug to Hubitat using a secondary hand-held controller, like a Z-stick, if you have one.
-
Lastly, if your Double Plug is connected to your hub, but not responding to Z-Wave commands, then you’ll need to look at these connectivity troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.
