If you're unable to establish manual control, this is a sign that something isn't right.
It's possible that the installation can be improved or that something is wrong with your ZEN06 Smart Plug. We recommend double checking that the wall receptacle is powered on and working. If you move the Smart Plug to another receptacle and find that the Smart Plug works, then the issue is probably with the first outlet.
If the receptacle is fine, then it's possible the device you have connected to your ZEN06 Smart Plug is incompatible. Not all types of devices are a good fit for the plug, and many will damage the plug immediately or over time due to electrical incompatible loads.
