ZEN74 inclusion issues? Try a soft, hub-based reset, also known as exclusion.
Exclusion is the simplest and fastest way to resolve any inclusion or configuration issues. Exclusion can be done at any time, even if a device has never been included to the hub and is not currently included. A different way to think of exclusion is as a hub-based soft reset. However, please note that exclusion before inclusion applies to the 700 series and earlier chip sets. The 800 series devices will not exclude before they have been included; please factory reset the unit instead, then try inclusion again.
How to exclude the ZEN74 Dimmer from your Z-Box Hub:
- From the sidebar navigation menu of the Z-Box web interface, go to Settings by clicking on the gear icon.
- You will be redirected to the Devices menu.
- Click the red - Remove device button in the top right corner.
- Select the Z-Wave Device option.
- Get ready to activate your Z-Wave device and click Start.
- Toggle the switch DOWN 3 times very quickly; the LED indicator will blink blue
- The Z-Box will confirm exclusion
Once the Z-Box confirms a successful exclusion, please try including the device again.
Still having trouble?
- Try the exclusion process again. It's possible that the command didn't go through the first time.
- Once you put the Z-Box back into inclusion mode, try tapping the lower paddle very quickly 4-5 times to ensure the command has gone through.
