My ZSE41 Open/Close Sensor Shows No Connection on My Z-Box Hub
Does your ZSE43 Tilt/Shock Sensor display "No Connection" on your Z-Box Hub? Check out the troubleshooting steps below!
While a device may show as "No Connection" in a few cases, the Z-Box automatically refreshes the network and rebuilds the mesh on a regular basis in the background. Unlike most hubs currently available, there is no need for a command to refresh the network or repair the device connections on the Z-Box, as it is consistently running in the background and rerouting communication as necessary.
If your ZSE43 Tilt/Shock Sensor is showing as "No Connection" on your Z-Box, start by clicking on the device tile to reconnect the device. Navigate to the Dashboard > click the red ZSE43 tile to ping the device. The ZSE43 should reconnect and return to green once connection is re-established.
Still showing "No Connection"?
- Adding a signal repeating (non-battery powered) device between the hub and the ZSE43 can help if range or interference are at play.
Try bringing the hub and device closer together, excluding the device and re-including it while near the hub. If the ZSE43 Tilt/Shock Sensor is then included successfully and the connection remains steady, it is possible there is interference between the hub and the device, or the previous spot may be out of range.
If you are able to control your device from the Z-Box without issue but it is occasionally showing the device as "No Connection," you can disable the display by following the steps below:
- Navigate to Settings > Devices > click on the arrow to open the settings for the ZSE43 > Advanced > Uncheck "Mark if Unavailable"
