How to Add Your ZEN72 Dimmer to HomeSeer

After successfully installing and manually testing your ZEN72 Dimmer, the next step is to integrate it into your HomeSeer network. This integration/inclusion will allow you to automate and control your ZEN72 Dimmer remotely, unlocking the full potential of your smart home system. Follow these steps to seamlessly add your ZEN72 to HomeSeer and enhance your home automation experience.

Zooz products are officially integrated with the Z-Wave Plus and the Z-Wave JS Front-End of HomeSeer. If you're experiencing issues with accessing the advanced settings of your device or the unit not properly displaying, we would recommend first updating to the Z-Wave Plus or the Z-Wave JS Front-End, then excluding and re-including your device to your network in order for it to be recognized correctly.

You can use these steps to include the ZEN72 Dimmer to HomeSeer:

  1. In the HomeSeer UI: open the "Devices" tab.
  2. Click + sign at the top right of the page;
  3. Select "Z-Wave".
  4. Click "Continue" to put the hub in inclusion mode.
  5. Tap the UPPER paddle 3 times as quickly as possible on the ZEN72 (the LED indicator will start flashing).
  6. A window should then appear to allow you to select the supported security level; if S2A is selected, a new window will appear for pin entry.
  7. Follow the prompts to assign the device to a specific room/area and rename it.
  8. Double check the information and finalize inclusion by clicking "Continue"

If you encounter any issues including your dimmer to HomeSeer, try excluding it first. The process can be done even if the switch was never included and acts as a type of soft Z-Wave reset that generally resolves most inclusion issues.
