How to Add Your ZAC36 Titan Valve Actuator to HomeSeer

Once you've successfully installed the ZAC36 on your water valve, you can pair it with your HomeSeer. Always mount the device securely and calibrate it before trying to add the actuator to your Z-Wave system. The Titan will fit on valves up to 1.25". Is your pipe larger? Reach out to us about an extension kit for the ZAC36 to accommodate larger pipes/valves.

Zooz products are officially integrated with the Z-Wave Plus and the Z-Wave JS Front-End of HomeSeer. If you're experiencing issues with accessing the advanced settings of your device or the unit not properly displaying, we would recommend first updating to the Z-Wave Plus or the Z-Wave JS Front-End, then excluding and re-including your device to your network in order for it to be recognized correctly.

You can use these steps to include the ZAC36 to HomeSeer:

  1. In the HomeSeer UI: open the "Devices" tab.
  2. Click + sign at the top right of the page;
  3. Select "Z-Wave".
  4. Click "Continue" to put the hub in inclusion mode.
  5. While the system is in inclusion mode, tap the Z-Wave button 3 times quickly - it's a touch button so wait for a beep each time you press it (there will be no tactile feedback like on a push button).
  6. A window should then appear to allow you to select the supported security level; if S2A is selected, a new window will appear for pin entry.
  7. Follow the prompts to assign the device to a specific room/area and rename it.
  8. Double check the information and finalize inclusion by clicking "Continue"

If you encounter any issues including your ZAC36 to HomeSeer, try excluding it first. Exclusion can be done even if the ZAC36 was never included and acts as a type of soft Z-Wave reset that generally resolves most inclusion issues.
