ZEN56 RGBW Dimmer Advanced Settings

Here is a full list of advanced settings (parameters) for ZEN56 RGBW Dimmer.

Some parameters may be added in later firmware updates; you can view the change log for the ZEN56 here.

On/Off Status After Power Failure

Parameter 1: 1 Set the on off status for the dimmer after power failure.

Values: 0 – always off once restored; 1 – always on once restored; 2 – remembers and restores status. Default: 2

S1 Switch Type

Parameter 2: Choose the wall switch type you want to connect to the S1 input on the dimmer.

Values: 1 – momentary push button; 2 – toggle switch (state changes whenever the switch is toggled); 3 – toggle switch (light on when the switch is toggled up, light off when the switch is toggled down); 4 – 3-way switch. Default: 1

S2 Switch Type

Parameter 3: Choose the wall switch type you want to connect to the S2 input on the dimmer.

Values: 1 – momentary push button; 2 – toggle switch (state changes whenever the switch is toggled); 3 – toggle switch (light on when the switch is toggled up, light off when the switch is toggled down); 4 – 3-way switch. Default: 1

S1 Scene Control

Parameter 4: Enable or disable scene control functionality for quick double tap triggers for S1 input.

Values: 0 – scene control disabled; 1 – scene control enabled. Default: 1.

S2 Scene Control

Parameter 5: Enable or disable scene control functionality for quick double tap triggers for S2 input.

Values: 0 – scene control disabled; 1 – scene control enabled. Default: 1.

Enable S2 Input

Parameter 6: Enable or disable the S2 input for the dimmer. The S2 input can be assigned to control the W (white) input channel from an external switch when enabled. Use parameter 7 to make the assignment.

Values: 0 – Disable S2 input; 1 – Enable S2 input. Default: 0

S2 Input Control

Parameter 7: Assign the S2 input to control the white channel (value1) on the RGBW dimmer. When enabled, make sure that parameter 16 is set to value 0 to display individual channel endpoints. S2 input can then be assigned to control the W (white) channel from an external switch.

Values: 0 – S2 input not assigned to W channel 1 – S2 input assigned to W channel. Default: 0

Color Cross-Fade Transition

Parameter 8: Adjust the duration (in seconds) of the transition between colors for a smooth cross-fade effect.

Values: 0 – instant transition; 1-99 (seconds). Default: 3.

Physical Ramp Rate On

Parameter 9: Adjust the ramp rate ON for your dimmer when the switch paddle is pressed for a smooth fade-in effect (in seconds). Values correspond to the number of seconds it takes for the dimmer to reach full brightness when operated manually from the connected wall switch.

Values: 0 – instant on 1-99 (seconds). Default: 5.

Physical Ramp Rate Off

Parameter 10: Adjust the ramp rate OFF for your dimmer when the switch paddle is pressed for a smooth fade-out effect (in seconds). Values correspond to the number of seconds it takes for the dimmer to completely turn off when operated manually from the connected wall switch.

Values: 0 – instant on 1-99 (seconds). Default: 5.

Z-Wave Ramp Rate On

Parameter 11: Adjust the ramp rate ON for your dimmer when controlled with Z-Wave for a smooth fade-in effect (in seconds). Values correspond to the number of seconds it takes for the dimmer to reach full brightness when controlled with Z-Wave commands. Use value 100 to match the physical settings in parameter 9. 

Values: 0 – instant on 1-99 (seconds) 100 – match physical. Default: 100.

Z-Wave Ramp Rate Off

Parameter 12: Adjust the ramp rate OFF for your dimmer when controlled with Z-Wave for a smooth fade-out effect (in seconds). Values correspond to the number of seconds it takes for the dimmer to completely turn off when controlled with Z-Wave commands. Use value 100 to match the physical settings in parameter 10. 

Values: 0 – instant on 1-99 (seconds) 100 – match physical. Default: 100.

Auto Turn-Off Timer

Parameter 13: Auto-off timer will automatically turn the dimmer off after x seconds or minutes (choose the timer unit in parameter 15) once it has been turned on. 

Values: 0 – Timer disabled; 1-4294967295. Default: 0.

Auto Turn-On Timer

Parameter 14: Auto-on timer will automatically turn the dimmer on after x seconds or minutes (choose the timer unit in parameter 15) once it has been turned off. 

Values: 0 – Timer disabled; 1-4294967295. Default: 0.

Timer Unit

Parameter 15: Choose between seconds (2) and minutes (1) as the unit for the timers on the dimmer.

Values: 1 – minutes; 2 – seconds. Default: 1.

Display / Hide Channel Endpoints

Parameter 16: Display (0) or hide (1) individual RGBW channel endpoints for the dimmer. Expert users only. If you change the value to 0 (display the channels) you will need to exclude and re-include the device to the hub for the new entities to display. This will create 4 separate multilevel (dimmer) devices for each channel instead of one multicolor control device.

Values: 0 – Channel Endpoints Displayed; 1 – Channel Endpoints Hidden. Default: 1.

Color Animation Presets

Parameter 17: Enable one of the color animation presets to set the mood with a single click.

Values: 0 – Color Animation Presets Disabled; 1 – Fireplace; 2 – Storm; 3 – Rainbow; 4 – Polar Lights; 5 – Police (Strobing Red, White, Blue). Default: 0.

Size: 1 byte dec

LED Indicator

Parameter 18: Choose if you want the LED indicator to turn on when the dimmer (light) is on and off when the dimmer is off, or if you want it to remain off at all times.

Values: 0 – LED always off 1 – LED on when dimmer on, LED off when dimmer off. Default: 1.

Inclusion From Switch

Parameter 19: Enable or disable ZEN56 inclusion / exclusion via 3 quick toggles (up-down sequences) of the wall switch connected to S1 or S2.

Values: 0 – Disable inclusion from switch; 1 – Enable inclusion from switch. Default: 1.

Scene Control Multi-Tap

Parameter 20: Disable multi-tap scene control so that only single taps from the wall switch connected to S1 and S2 report via central scene.

Values: 0 – multi-tap for scene control disabled; 1 – multi-tap for scene control enabled. Default: 1.

Associations

Group 1: Lifeline with up to 5 devices for Lifeline communication with the hub. This device will send Color Switch and Multilevel Switch Report to Group 1.

The following associations will only be present if Parameter 16 is set to value 0:

Group 2: (Red Channel) Basic Set with up to 5 devices

Group 3: (Red Channel) Switch Multilevel Set with up to 5 devices

Group 4: (Red Channel) Switch Multilevel Start/Stop Level Change with up to 5 devices
