This is product is discontinued and replaced with ZSE70.
You can include your Outdoor Motion Sensor to Vera automatically or manually.
For auto-inclusion:
- Select the Devices tab in your Vera app
- Click on the gray "+ Add Device" button
- Choose Generic Z-Wave Device from the device list
- Connect the USB adapter to a power source, or unscrew the back cover of the sensor to access the battery compartment and insert the 3 AA batteries
But if auto-inclusion isn't working out, you can also add the sensor manually. Manual inclusion is particularly helpful if you need to troubleshoot inclusion or connectivity issues:
- Insert the 3 AA batteries, making sure they're oriented correctly
- Select the Devices tab in your Vera app
- Click on the gray "+ Add Device" button
- Choose Generic Z-Wave Device from the device list
- Click the tamper switch 3 times quickly
- A new motion sensor will appear on Vera's device list
*If you’re using an S2 hub, it may ask you to enter the DSK key printed on the back cover sticker to complete secure inclusion.
If you're tried both inclusion methods but the device isn't connecting, try excluding the sensor from the network. Exclusion is like a soft reset and we find it helps most configuration issues. And if the sensor connected fine, but it's not detecting motion correctly or at all, it's possible you'll have to manually configure the motion part of the sensor. Here's how to do it.
