This is product is discontinued and replaced with the ZEN04 or ZEN15. What does that mean?
You can add your ZEN25 Double Plug to Vera automatically or manually.
For auto-inclusion:
- Select the Devices tab in your Vera app
- Click on the gray "+ Add Device" button
- Choose Generic Z-Wave Device from the device list
- Plug the Double Plug in the grounded 120VAC receptacle you plan to use it with (no need bringing it close to Vera first)
But if auto-inclusion isn't working out, you can also add the Double Plug manually. Manual inclusion is particularly helpful if you need to troubleshoot inclusion or connectivity issues:
- Plug the Double Plug in the grounded 120VAC receptacle you plan to use it with (no need bringing it close to Vera first)
- Select the Devices tab in your Vera app
- Click on the gray "+ Add Device" button
- Choose Generic Z-Wave Device from the device list
- Click the Z-Wave button 3 times quickly
- A new plug will appear on Vera's device list
NOTE: Whether you include the device automatically or manually, you’ll see 4 new on/off devices in your app:
- 2 channels for on/off control
- 1 channel for on/off monitoring (the USB port reporting charging / charged status, no control)
- 1 master node to control both outlets at the same time and to access and adjust advanced settings in (if your hub supports parameter input)
If you're tried both inclusion methods but the device isn't connecting, try excluding the plug from the network. Exclusion is like a soft reset and we find it helps most configuration issues. And if the plug connected fine, but it's not responding to Z-Wave commands or your Vera app "Can't Detect Device", here are some troubleshoots that have helped other users.
If you have any questions about the above, let our team know! We'll be happy to help.
