After your MultiRelay is powered up, it's time to add it to your Vera system.
Select the Devices tab in your Vera app. Then click on the gray "+ Add Device" button.
- Choose Generic Z-Wave Device from the device list
- Click the Z-Wave button on the MultiRelay 3 times quickly
- Four new Z-Wave devices should appear on your device list: one master node and three child nodes for individual control of the relays
If you're unable to connect the MultiRelay successfully, try excluding it from the network using the steps shown here and then trying the inclusion process again.
Once the item is installed, it may create some additional child devices. If you'd like to hide these devices in your interface, here's how to do it:
- Open your Vera dashboard.
- Go to Apps > Develop apps > Test Luup code (Lua)
- Paste the following text, changing the Device_ID into the number corresponding to the node you want to hide: luup.attr_set("invisible","1",Device_ID)
- Go to Settings > Z-Wave Settings > Advanced > click on Reload Engine
* If you’re using an S2 hub, it will ask you to enter the DSK PIN or scan the QR code printed on the device.
*Updated Disclaimer: We've seen several issues with Vera hubs properly recognizing and integrating 700 & 800 series Z-Wave devices. It seems that the mios and Vera systems are no longer updated or supported for new features and Z-Wave libraries as they're replaced with the new Ezlo platform instead.
Unfortunately, we've had to remove Vera hubs from our compatibility lists for this reason. We're not able to modify devices to accommodate older discontinued systems like these as we need to follow the current DSK for our devices to pass Z-Wave certifications and work well with active platforms that are up to date. We apologize for any inconvenience.
If you have any questions about the process above, let us know! We're always happy to help
