This is product is discontinued and replaced with the ZEN04 or ZEN15. What does that mean?
Exclude to include? You would be surprised what might work to connect your ZEN25 to your hub.
Exclusion serves as a gentle reset to fix various connection and configuration issues, even if the device was never paired successfully. Hubitat will confirm that an "unknown" device was excluded and then you’ll be able to try to add it to your network again. First, you should check if your Hubitat has the latest platform version installed. Then you can follow the steps below to exclude the ZEN25:
-
Open Hubitat in your Internet browser
-
Go to Devices
-
Click on + Add Device in the top right corner
-
Click on Z-Wave
-
Click on Start Z-Wave Exclusion
-
While the device is searching for a device, click the Z-Wave button on the device 3 times as quickly as possible
-
The app will indicate when the device is successfully excluded.
Once you’ve gone through the exclusion process, give inclusion another try with the steps shown here. If your ZEN25 still won’t add to your hub, try some of these tips that have helped in the past:
-
You can try to exclude the device again in case the process wasn’t registered the first time around.
-
Or you can give inclusion another shot, this time clicking the Z-Wave button 4-5 times, instead of 3, as quickly as possible, to help the device register the command.
-
If your ZEN25 is in a location that is far away from the hub then it may be having trouble communicating. You can try adding a Z-Wave signal repeater (or any non-battery powered Z-Wave device) between the Double Plug and Hubitat to see if it resolves the issue. A Z-stick or hand-held secondary controller can then be used to add the ZEN25 to the network.
-
These connectivity troubleshoots may help if your Double Plug is paired to your network, but not responding to Z-Wave commands.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if your ZEN25 is still having problems being added or removed from your hub!
