Hubitat officially integrated the ZEN21 On/Off Switch, so it will pair with your hub without any additional setup required.
This is product is discontinued and replaced with ZEN71.
If you have a Hubitat C-7 hub, your S2 security level should be marked as S2 Unauthenticated during inclusion to ensure a successful connection. If you have an older Hubitat hub, you can simply pair the ZEN21 switch as described below since S2 security is only supported on the C-7 hub.
Use the steps below to quickly pair your ZEN21 switch to Hubitat:
-
Open Hubitat in your Internet browser
-
Go to Devices
-
Click on + Add Device in the top right corner
-
Click on Z-Wave
-
Click on Start Z-Wave Inclusion
-
While the app says is in inclusion mode, tap the upper paddle of the dimmer 3 times as quickly as possible (LED indicator will start flashing)
-
Rename and confirm the found device
If the ZEN21 is having difficulties connecting to your hub, you may need to exclude it from the hub first. The switch can be excluded even if it was never added before. The process serves as a soft reset to help with any configuration problems the switch may be experiencing. You should also be able to see the advanced settings for the ZEN21 from device view on Hubitat. If you don’t, then double check you have the latest Hubitat platform version, and try these steps for installing a custom device driver.
We’re here to help if you continue to have trouble adding your ZEN21.
