ZEN15 Power Switch Advanced Settings

Here is a full list of advanced settings (parameters) for the ZEN15 Power Switch VER. 1.06 firmware (hardware 2.0):

LED Indicator Control

Parameter 27: Choose how the LED indicator displays power consumption on the Power Switch and when it’s on or off.

Values: 0 – LED indicator will display power consumption whenever the device is plugged in (LED stays on at all times, even if the switch is off); 1 – LED indicator will display power consumption whenever the device is ON in and will turn off when the switch is OFF (default); 2 – LED indicator will display the level of power consumption for 5 seconds only whenever the device is turned on or off (LED indicator will stay off for most of the time); 3 – LED indicator is OFF at all times except for inclusion, exclusion, and Z-Wave range test)

Overload Protection

Parameter 20:

500 seriesOverload protection will turn the ZEN15’s relay off once power draw on the connected device exceeds 16.5A when this setting is enabled. We DO NOT recommend changing this parameter’s value as it may result in device damage and malfunction. 

Values: 0 – Disabled; 1 – Enabled (default).

Size: 1 byte dec

800 series FW 2.10 and upThis parameter was updated so that the ZEN15 will continue detecting the load power for the specified time below, and will shut off if the current exceeds 16.5A for more than the time specified in the value selected below

Values: 2 - 2 sec delay; 3 - 3 sec delay; 4 - 4 sec delay; 5 - 5 sec delay. Default: 2

Size: 1 byte dec

Overload Protection Turn On Delay - 800 series only

Parameter 36: Disable or set the delay for the automatic turn on after the unit has been turned off after the overload protection was triggered. 

Values: 0 – Disabled (Default); 10 – 65535 (seconds).

Size: 2 byte dec

On/Off Status Recovery After Power Failure

Parameter 21: Choose the recovery state for your Power Switch if power outage occurs.

Values: 0 – Power Switch remembers the status prior to power outage and turns back to it (default); 1 – Power Switch automatically turns ON once power is restored (it does not remember the status prior to power outage); 2 – Power Switch automatically turns OFF once power is restored (it does not remember the status prior to power outage).

Size: 1 byte dec

 

Parameter 35: Delay turn on of the relay after a power outage occurs.

Values: 0 – Disabled (default); 1-600: delay in seconds.

Size: 2 byte dec

On/Off Status Change Notifications

Parameter 24: Your Power Switch will automatically send a notification to the controller and other associated devices if its status changes from on to off or the other way round. Choose when you want it to send the report.

Values: 0 – disabled (it will not send status change notifications); 1 – sends notification if status is changed manually or remotely via Z-Wave (default); 2 – sends notification ONLY if status is changed manually by pressing and releasing the Z-Wave button on the Power Switch.

Auto-on Timer

Parameter 33: Use this parameter to set the time after which you want the Power Switch to automatically turn on once it has been turned off. The number entered as value corresponds to the number of minutes.

Values: 0 – timer disabled (default); 1-99 (minutes).

Size: 1 byte dec

 

Auto-off Timer

Parameter 34: Use this parameter to set the time after which you want the Power Switch to automatically turn off once it has been turned on. The number entered as value corresponds to the number of minutes.

Values: 0 – timer disabled (default); 1-99 (minutes).

Size: 1 byte dec

 

Power Wattage Report Value Threshold

Parameter 151: Choose how you want your Power Switch to report power consumption to your hub. The number entered as value corresponds to the number of Watts the appliance needs to go over for the change to be reported. So if 50 Watts are entered by default, the Power Switch will report any change in power usage over 50 Watts (whether it’s at least 50 Watts more or 50 Watts less compared to the previous report).

Values: 0 – 65535. 0 – disabled (the Switch will not report power consumption based on this setting). Default: 50.

Power Report Percentage Threshold

Parameter 152: Choose how you want your Power Switch to report power use to your hub and associated devices by percentage rate. The number entered as value corresponds to the percentage in power usage change the appliance needs to go over for the event to be reported. So if 10% is entered by default, the Power Switch will report any change in power use over 10% (whether it’s at
least 10% more or 10% less power use compared to the previous report).

Values: 0 – 99; 0 – disabled (it will not report power consumption based on percentage change). Default: 10.

Voltage Report Threshold - 800 series only

Parameter 175: Choose the threshold the voltage needs to exceed from the last reported value for a new report to be sent to the hub.

Values: 0 – 255; 0 – disabled. Default: 10.

Size: 1 byte dec

 

Electrical Current Report Threshold - 800 Series Only

Parameter 176: Choose the threshold the electrical current (Amps) voltage needs to exceed from the last reported value for a new report to be sent to the hub.

Values: 0 – disabled; 1 – 65535 (mA). Default: 1000.

Size: 2 byte dec

 

Power Report Frequency

Parameter 171: Choose how often you want your Power Switch to report power consumption (W) to your controller and associated device. The number entered as value corresponds to the number of seconds. So if 30 is entered by default, the Power Switch will report power consumption every 30 seconds.

Values: 0 – disabled (it will not report power consumption); 5 – 2678400 (seconds). Default: 30.

Size: 4 byte dec

 

Energy Report Frequency

Parameter 172: Choose how often you want your Power Switch to report energy usage (kWh) to your controller and associated device. The number entered as value corresponds to the number of seconds. So if 300 is entered by default, the Power Switch will report energy usage every 300 seconds (5 minutes).

Values: 0 – disabled (it will not report energy use); 5 – 2678400 (seconds). Default: 300.

Size: 4 byte dec

 

Voltage Report Frequency

Parameter 173: Choose how often you want your Power Switch to report voltage (V) to your controller and associated device. The number entered as value corresponds to the number of seconds.

Values: 0 – disabled (it will not report Voltage level); 5 – 2678400 (seconds). Default: 300.

Size: 4 byte dec

 

Electrical Current Report Frequency

Parameter 174: Choose how often you want your Power Switch to report levels of electrical current (A) to your controller and associated device. The number entered as value corresponds to the number of seconds.

Values: 0 – disabled (it will not report the electrical current level); 5 – 2678400 (seconds). Default: 300.

Size: 4 byte dec

 

Disable Manual Control

Parameter 30: Choose if you want to use the physical button on the Power Switch to turn the outlet on or off manually or if you want to disable this function. If this parameter is set to 0 (disabled), you will only be able to turn the outlet on or off remotely using your Z-Wave hub.

Values: 0 – manual control disabled; 1 – manual control enabled (default).

Disable Z-Wave Control

Parameter 31: Disable Z-Wave ON commands to the Power Switch sent by your hub. If this parameter is set to 0 (disabled), you will only be able to turn the ZEN15 plug on from the physical button. You will still be able to turn the plug off via Z-Wave.

Values: 0 – Z-Wave ON commands disabled; 1 – Z-Wave ON commands enabled (default).

Size: 1 byte dec

 

Parameter 32: Disable Z-Wave OFF commands to the Power Switch sent by your hub. If this parameter is set to 0 (disabled), you will only be able to turn the ZEN15 plug off from the physical button. You will still be able to turn the plug on via Z-Wave.

Values: 0 – Z-Wave OFF commands disabled; 1 – Z-Wave OFF commands enabled (default).
