After your ZEN32 is installed and working manually, you're ready to go ahead and add it to your Z-Wave system!
Your system might refer to it as adding or pairing, but inclusion is a common term for getting a Z-Wave device to join your Z-Wave system.
Here are the steps for adding the Scene Controller to your system:
- Put your hub into inclusion/pairing mode in your app's interface (each hub is different, so refer to the hub's manual if you're unsure about the process)
- Tap the switch button 3 times quickly (LED indicator will start flashing)
- The LED indicator will blink blue to signal communication and turn green for 3 seconds if inclusion is successful or turn red for 3 seconds if the pairing attempt fails.
- Your Z-Wave system should confirm the device was successfully added.
* If you’re using an S2 hub, it will ask you to enter the DSK PIN or scan the QR code printed on the metal faceplate of the switch to complete SmartStart inclusion.
If you're having trouble including your device, the first thing you should try is excluding the unit and then giving inclusion another go.
