How to Change the Advanced Settings for My ZSE41 Open | Close XS Sensor in Vera

Customize the settings of your ZSE41 any way you like!

You can adjust the settings for your Open|Close Sensor - like the LED indicator color or low battery alerts.

 

Here are the steps to change parameters (or settings) in your Vera interface; below is how to set the low battery alert value as an example. Make sure to change the correct values for Variable (corresponding to the Parameter you'd like to change), Data Size, and Desired Value as documented in the Settings here.

 

  1. Open your Vera online interface (the browser dashboard, not the app)
  2. Click on the Zooz ZSE41 main device (the one showing On Off capability and displaying the battery status, not the open/close child device)
  3. Go to Device Options
  4. Click on Add configuration settings
  5. Put in the following:

To set the low battery alert

  • Variable = 4
  • Data Size = 1 byte dec
  • Desired Value = 10 (% battery life)
  • Click on Save Changes

 

Remember to wake the sensor up afterwards so the new settings can be received right away. Just click the Z-Wave button on the sensor 4 times quickly.
