Please make sure the Titan Valve Actuator is fully installed and calibrated before you try adding it to your system. It will not function correctly if it's activated before being fully installed. The Titan will fit on valves up to 1.25". Is your pipe larger? Reach out to us about an extension kit for the ZAC36 to accommodate larger pipes/valves.
Follow these steps to include your ZAC36 to your Z-Wave hub:
- Initiate inclusion in your hub's Z-Wave interface (browser or app)
- While the hub is searching for new devices, please tap the Z-Wave button on the device 3 times quickly - make sure you hear a beep each time you tap the button (if you don't hear it, please try again). It's a touch button so just place your finger on it and wait for the beep, there will be no tactile feedback like on a push button.
- If your hub supports SmartStart, it may ask you to scan the QR code or enter the PIN which is printed on the back of your Titan device or inside of the packaging, next to the yellow label showing a closed valve.
- Once the device is found, you should see it appear in your system either as a valve device or an on/off device that you'll be able to control on demand and use in automations to shut the water valve automatically when a leak is detected.
*If you’re using an S2 hub, it will ask you to enter the DSK key or scan the QR code printed on the back to complete SmartStart inclusion.
If your ZAC36 is having trouble being added, you can try excluding the device first. Just put your hub in exclusion mode and perform the button sequence from step 2 above to finalize the process. It will act as a soft reset and it can help with a variety of configuration issues.
