Wondering if your Titan Water Valve Actuator is behaving correctly? Here is a list of the LED indicator sequences and beep sounds you should see when performing all of the device's basic functions.

The Titan will fit on valves up to 1.25". Is your pipe larger? Reach out to us about an extension kit for the ZAC36 to accommodate larger pipes/valves.

Pause opening or closing:

  • Only available after manual calibration
  • Click the Z-Wave button once (flashes green and beeps once) to pause when the actuator is in the process of opening or closing the valve
  • 2 green flashes and NO beep to indicate success (operation paused), the valve stops moving
  • Yellow flashing (every half second) when the operation is paused

Resume opening or closing:

  • Only available if the operation has been previously paused
  • Click the Z-Wave button once (flashes green and beeps once) to resume opening or closing when the processed is paused
  • Actuator will go back to the starting position (it will start moving in reverse direction than before it was paused)
  • When complete, the actuator will go back to standby mode (yellow flashing when not included to Z-Wave hub or pulsing green when included to Z-Wave hub)

Initial calibration:

  • Perform after installing the Titan actuator on your water valve
  • Hold the Z-Wave button until 2 beeps sound to initiate
  • Quick flashing yellow during the calibration process (the actuator will open and close to find the start and end points)
  • Flashing green and 2 beeps to indicate successful calibration

Initial calibration failed:

  • Slow flashing red and 3 beeps to indicate failed calibration
  • Green and red flashing in incomplete calibration mode
  • To exit the failed calibration mode, hold the Z-Wave button until 2 beeps sound
  • Actuator will go back to the starting position and standby mode (yellow flashing when not included to Z-Wave hub or pulsing green when included to Z-Wave hub)

Forced calibration:

  • Perform when the initial calibration fails or when moving the Titan from one installation to another
  • Hold the Z-Wave button until 5 beeps sound
  • Click the Z-Wave button 5 times to initiate forced calibration
  • Quick flashing yellow during the calibration process (the actuator will open and close to find the start and end points)
  • Flashing green and 2 beeps to indicate successful calibration

Reverse open / close commands and reports:

  • Use this method if your hub displays the open/close commands in reverse to the actual operation and doesn't give you access to change the advanced settings in the interface (if you have access to advanced settings, follow the guidelines for parameter 17 instead)
  • Hold the Z-Wave button until 4 beeps sound, release the button, then immediately after, tap the button 3 times (it will flash green and beep once each time you touch it)
  • Flashing green and 2 beeps to indicate successful setting change
  • Back to standby mode (yellow flashing when not included to Z-Wave hub or pulsing green when included to Z-Wave hub)

Z-Wave button lock enabled:

  • Lock the Z-Wave button if using the Titan Valve Actuator outdoors to prevent water damage. Once locked, you won't be able to use the Z-Wave button for anything else than to unlock it.
  • Hold the Z-Wave button until 3 beeps sound, release the button, then immediately after, tap the button 3 times (it will flash green and beep once each time you touch it)
  • Green, yellow, and red flash to indicate processing
  • 1 beep to indicate success
  • Z-Wave button lock mode indicated with slow pulsing yellow

Z-Wave button lock disabled:

  • Unlock the Z-Wave button to re-calibrate or program your device
  • Hold the Z-Wave button until 3 beeps sound, release the button, then immediately after, tap the button 3 times (it will flash green and beep once each time you touch it)

Water leak alarm mode:

  • When a leak alarm is triggered, whether through the water probe connected directly to the Titan or through a wireless leak sensor programmed to trigger the actuator via Z-Wave, the Titan will start flashing red and beeping (every second)

Cancel the water leak alarm manually:

  • When water presence is no longer detected on the connected sensor or any of the wireless sensors in the network, you can manually cancel the leak alarm mode
  • Hold the Z-Wave button until 2 beeps sound to cancel the alarm
  • 3 green flashes and beeps to indicate success
  • Back to standby mode (yellow flashing when not included to Z-Wave hub or pulsing green when included to Z-Wave hub)
