The ZSE43 XS Sensors are now officially integrated with Hubitat.  They will easily pair with your hub without extra setup. Ensure the platform is utilizing Version 2.3 or higher.

Smart Start Inclusion

On the Hubitat app:

  1. Open the Tools tab (wrench icon on the bottom)
  2. Scroll to the bottom, select Z-Wave
  3. This will take you to a screen where you can select either Smart Start or regular inclusion
  4. Select Smart Start
  5. This will take you to the smart start inclusion list. Devices will be displayed there that are in the process of inclusion through Smart Start.
  6. Select the QR symbol in the top right to open the camera for the DSK scan; scan the QR code printed on the inside of the sensor battery cover.
  7. Power the device (important to do this AFTER QR scan)
  8. The device integration will begin. The window will appear asking you to name the device; click Save after naming
  9. Finishing inclusion may take a few minutes

If you have any issues with Smart Start Inclusion on Hubitat, please review this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sf-Fldjb0to. The steps should be the same whether you have a C-7 or C-8.

Manual Inclusion

  1. Power the sensor up.

  2. Open Hubitat in your Internet browser

  3. Go to Devices

  4. Click on + Add Device in the top right corner

  5. Click on Z-Wave

  6. Click on Start Z-Wave Inclusion

  7. While the app says it is in inclusion mode, click the Z-Wave button on the sensor 3 times as quickly as possible (the LED indicator will start flashing)

  8. If you're using a hub that supports S2 security, it may ask you to enter the PIN. The PIN is located under the QR code printed on the inside of the battery cover of your sensor

  9. Rename and confirm the found device

If the sensor is having problems connecting to Hubitat, try the exclusion process first. It will help the ZSE43 Sensor configure properly, even if it never connected to the hub:
