Looking for the ZSE43 advanced settings? Hubitat should fully recognize your Tilt | Shock sensor out of the box, but we recommend using the built-in driver in case any of the settings are not available.
First, confirm your Hubitat hub is on the latest platform version, and that your ZSE43 has the most recent firmware update. Once you have verified this, you'll be able to see the advanced settings under Preferences of the primary device in Hubitat (remember to save the device after each change).
Here are the steps for installing the custom driver:
- Open Hubitat in your browser
- Click on Drivers Code in the side menu
- In the top right corner, click on "+New Driver" and paste the code from the following link
-
to access the code for the driver, then copy ALL of the code from the page.
-
Click Save in the top right corner.
-
You'll see a Zooz ZSE43 Tilt-Shock XS Sensor in your Drivers Code list now.
-
Assign the driver to the device by opening to the device view and selecting the Zooz ZSE43 Tilt-Shock XS Sensor from the drop-down menu under Device Type.
-
Click Update Device.
-
You will now see the additional setting display in the device view in Hubitat where you can customize the sensor.
-
Once done, click Update Device again.
-
IMPORTANT: Please go to the parent device and click configure and then wait for syncing to be completed. It will change to sync on the right upper side.
If you prefer not to use the custom driver, you can try out this Z-Wave Universal Device Scanner to access any parameters that may not be available yet in the custom driver. Please note that use of this driver is intended for expert users; use at your own risk: https://community.hubitat.com/t/release-z-wave-universal-device-scanner/97912
