The ZSE44 XS Sensor is officially supported by Hubitat so it will work with the hub out of the box!

(Ensure the platform is on version 2.2.9 or higher.)

Even if the ZSE44 was never connected to the hub, begin by excluding the device. This acts as a soft reset to assist with ZSE44 Sensor configuration.

800 series only: Exclusion before inclusion applies to the 700 series and earlier chip sets. The 800 series devices will not exclude before they have been included; please factory reset the unit instead, then try inclusion again.

If the sensor is having problems connecting to Hubitat:

1. Open Hubitat in your Internet browser

2. Go to Devices

3. Click on + Add Device in the top right corner

4. Click on Z-Wave

5. Click on Start Z-Wave Exclusion

6. While the device is searching for a device, click the Z-Wave button on the sensor 3 times as quickly as possible

7. The app will indicate when the device is successfully excluded.

Once you have successfully excluded your ZSE44, follow the steps below steps to reinclude your ZSE44 to Hubitat:

1. Power the sensor up.

2. Open Hubitat in your Internet browser

3. Go to Devices

4. Click on + Add Device in the top right corner

5. Click on Z-Wave

6. Click on Start Z-Wave Inclusion

7. While the app says is in inclusion mode, click the Z-Wave button on the sensor 3 times as quickly as possible (the LED indicator will start flashing)

8. Rename and confirm the found device
