A range or configuration problem may cause your ZSE44 to show up as “offline” in Hubitat. A Z-Wave Network Repair may be the answer!
Check to see if your Hubitat hub is up to date on its platform version. Next, using the steps outlined below, run the Z-Wave Repair to refresh your Z-Wave mesh network connections:

Open Hubitat in your Internet browser

Go to Settings

Click on Z-Wave Details

Click on Repair Z-Wave
After successfully repairing, you will see a "Z-Wave Network Repair finished" confirmation. Next, include the ZSE44 to join your Z-Wave network.
Some additional troubleshooting tips to try with your ZSE44 sensor:
- You can exclude the sensor and reinclude it. This acts as a soft reset to help your sensor configure correctly or find a better route to communicate with Hubitat.
- Another option is to add a non-battery powered Z-Wave device, or a Z-Wave signal repeater, between the hub and sensor, if you have one available to improve communication between the two devices. You will need to run another Z-Wave Repair for the additional device to be recognized and used in the communication path with the ZSE44.
- Try moving the sensor closer to the hub. If the device is too far away, or in an area surrounded by a lot of metal or glass elements, it could be having trouble communicating with the hub. Once moved to a new location, exclude and re-include the device for the change to be recognized.
