How to Add Your ZEN77 S2 Dimmer to Your Z-Wave System

Start by ensuring the ZEN77 works well manually, and that you are able to fully dim and have on/off control from directly from the paddle.

Next, you can include the unit to your Z-Wave system.  Inclusion is known by a variety of terms, depending on the system you are using; adding, pairing, etc., but our standard term for it is "inclusion." It is simply the process of adding the device to your Z-Wave system.

Below are the general steps to include your ZEN77 S2 Dimmer to your Z-Wave system:

1. Put your Z-Wave hub into inclusion mode (see your hub's manual for specific inclusion steps)
2. Tap the UPPER paddle 3 times quickly to finalize the inclusion process

3. The LED indicator will blink blue to signal communication, and turn green for 3 seconds if inclusion is successful, or turn red for 3 seconds if the pairing attempt fails
3. A new dimmer device will appear on your controller's device list

* If you’re using an S2 hub, it will ask you to enter the DSK PIN or scan the QR code printed on the metal faceplate of the switch to complete SmartStart inclusion.

If the LED indicator turns red for 3 seconds, this indicates that the inclusion attempt failed. Please try the steps located here if inclusion failed.
