Here is a list of updates we made to the ZEN74 700 Series Toggle Dimmer so far:

VER. 1.0 (released 3/2021)

Original release

Hardware

• 700 series Z-Wave chip

• New wiring for 3-way and 4-way set-ups compared to the ZEN24 model (always follow the diagrams in the manual)

• No heatsink tabs and only 1.16" deep to easily fit in crowded boxes

• Multicolor LED indicator for network troubleshooting only (not visible when covered with wall plate)

Firmware: 1.02

• Central scene triggers for up to 10 scenes or devices

• Smart bulb mode (disable relay)

• Programmable double and single click behavior

• Night light mode (press and hold the toggle down when the dimmer is off to turn on to low brightness)

VER. 1.03 (released as OTA in 05/2021)

Firmware: 1.03

• Removed the delay for on/off control from paddle with scene control disabled
• Added the ability to disable programming function from the paddles (Parameter 26 - see all setting details here)
• Fixed relay behavior after power outage in smart bulb mode (both relay and on/off status are restored correctly after an outage now)
• Fixed night light mode (doesn't activate the light anymore when disabled)
• Fixed single-tap behavior bug in a 3-way installation (the connected 3-way switch now honors the single-tap setting as well)

VER. 10.0 (released in 09/2021)

Firmware: 10.0

• Fixed the SetLevel command class to accept the duration and other values sent from the hub for level changes (advanced dimmer programming)
• Ramp rate is now calculated with the account of minimum and maximum brightness levels (and just 0 - 100 only as before)

VER. 10.0 (released as OTA 04/2022)

Firmware: 10.10

• Separated ramp rate into 4 new settings: on physical (parameter 9), on Z-Wave (parameter 28), off physical (parameter 27), and off Z-Wave (parameter 29, see all setting details here).
• Improved night light mode (it takes 1 second instead of 2 to turn the night on via night light mode)
• Added a new setting to indicate remote dimming duration when using the ZEN74 in association with other dimmers (parameter 30, see all setting details here).

VER. 800LR (released 04/2024)

Hardware: 2.0

• 800 Series Z-Wave chip

Firmware: 2.10

• Long Range ready
• Fixed central scene bug for control of its own load in smart bulb mode
• Added parameter 32 to disable LED blinking when a setting is changed. See all settings here.
• Changed the manual operation for disabling the relay (smart bulb mode): Hold the UPPER paddle for 10 seconds until the LED indicator starts blinking, then within 2 seconds, tap the upper paddle 5 times quickly to change this mode. The LED indicator will stay solid green for 3 seconds to confirm the change.
• Improved the factory reset procedure: The switch will not lock up if the factory reset is not successful in certain scenarios.
