Trouble adding your ZEN34 to Vera? Try exclusion first!
Even if the Remote Switch was never added to your hub, you can still remove it. The process will act as a soft reset and help with any configuration or inclusion issues.
You'll want to follow the inclusion steps one more time:
- Select the Devices tab in your Vera app. Then click on the gray "+ Add Device" button
- Choose Generic Z-Wave Device from the device list
- Tap the UPPER paddle on the device 6 times very quickly
- A new Z-Wave switch will appear on your device list
Once inclusion times out, try the steps below:
- Tap the green Retry button in the bottom right corner of the app - this will put Vera into exclusion mode.
- Tap the LOWER paddle 6 times quickly.
- Once exclusion goes through, Vera will automatically go back to the inclusion screen and start searching for the switch.
- Tap the UPPER paddle 6 times quickly to add it.
Vera should confirm that an unknown device was removed from your hub. Once you receive confirmation that it was excluded, please try including the device once again using the above inclusion steps.
