Connectivity issues with your ZEN72 Dimmer? We've got some solutions!
There's a few troubleshooting steps you can take to improve the connection between your ZEN72 and Hubitat. You can use Repair Z-Wave, a helpful feature for updating your network's connections. We recommend checking that your Hubitat is running on the latest platform version before repairing your network connections with a Z-Wave Network Repair. This will repair your mesh network connections and improve the communication route between dimmer and hub.
Here are the steps to perform it:
-
Open Hubitat in your Internet browser
-
Go to Settings
-
Click on Z-Wave Details
-
Click on Repair Z-Wave
Once the process is finished, a "Z-Wave Network Repair finished" confirmation should appear once it successfully runs. Then you can try adding the switch to your network again.
Take a look at these tricks that have helped other users in the past:
-
It may help to try exclusion. If the dimmer did not properly configure on the first attempt, then removing and re-adding the device can help improve the communication route between the hub and switch.
-
You could also add another non-battery powered Z-Wave device, or a dedicated Z-Wave signal repeater, to the network if you have one available. Afterwards, perform another Network Repair so that the hub establishes a better communication route to the ZEN72 with an additional Z-Wave device added between the two.
-
Another helpful trick is installing the dimmer in a closer location to the hub. If its current location is out of the hub’s range, it may be having trouble communicating. Once moved, another exclusion and inclusion will help the hub find a new communication route to the ZEN72.
