Experiencing connectivity issues with your ZEN05 Outdoor Smart Plug? This can happen if it is out of range or didn’t configure properly when including. Z-Wave Network Repair can help!
Ensure that your Hubitat platform version is up-to-date first. Then, you can use Z-Wave Repair to refresh your connections.
Follow the steps below to repair your Z-Wave network in Hubitat:
-
Open Hubitat in your Internet browser
-
Go to Settings
-
Click on Z-Wave Details
-
Click on Repair Z-Wave
Before you can try to include your Outdoor Smart Plug to Hubitat again, your hub should confirm the repair was successful with a "Z-Wave Network Repair finished" message. Once confirmed, please include the ZEN05 to Hubitat.
If your Outdoor Smart Plug still has trouble connecting, try some of these troubleshooting tips:
- If you haven’t already, exclude the ZEN05 before including it. This acts as a soft reset to help the device connect, improve communication, and configure correctly.
- Try extending your Z-Wave signal by adding any non-battery powered Z-Wave device, or a signal repeater, to your network between the device and the hub. This will ensure the hub is able to devise an efficient route to the Outdoor Plug if it is located far away or is experiencing interference. Perform another Z-Wave Repair for the additional device to be recognized and route to be formed.
- Plug the ZEN05 in an outlet that’s located closer to the hub to eliminate the possibility of a range issue. You’ll want to exclude and connect the device to the hub again for it to find the new route to the Outdoor Plug.
Please don’t hesitate to send us a message if you’re still having trouble connecting your ZEN05!
