Range, interference, or configuration issues may be the root cause of your ZEN14 Outdoor Double Plug showing as “offline” in Hubitat. An easy place to start is with is Z-Wave Network Repair.
Ensure your Hubitat platform version is up-to-date first. Next, use Z-Wave Repair to refresh your mesh connections. Follow the easy steps below to repair your Z-Wave network in Hubitat:
-
Open Hubitat in your Internet browser
-
Go to Settings
-
Click on Z-Wave Details
-
Click on Repair Z-Wave
Please do not send any commands to the device before the hub confirms the repair was a success with a "Z-Wave Network Repair finished" message. Then use these instructions to pair the ZEN14 to your network again.
If your Outdoor Double Plug still has trouble connecting, try some of these troubleshooting tips:
- Please exclude the ZEN14 from Hubitat before pairing it. The act of exclusion is a soft reset that helps the device be connected easier, improve communication, and configure correctly.
- Try extending your Z-Wave signal with any non-battery powered Z-Wave device, or a signal repeater, to your network. This allows the hub to find a more efficient route to the Outdoor Double Plug if it is located far away or is experiencing interference. Perform another Z-Wave Repair for the additional device to be recognized and route to be formed.
- Try plugging the ZEN14 in an outlet that is closer to the hub to eliminate the possibility of a range issue. You’ll want to exclude and connect the device to the hub again for it to find the new route to the Double Plug.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please don’t hesitate to send us a message!
