This is product is discontinued and replaced with the ZEN73. What does that mean?
Let's start by excluding the switch from your system.
It may sound strange, but exclusion is just a reset. A device doesn't need to be included to be able to excluded. Here's how to do it:
1. Bring your Z-Wave hub as close to the switch as possible
2. Put your Z-Wave controller into exclusion mode
3. Toggle the switch DOWN 3 times quickly to finalize the exclusion process
If that didn't work, it's possible some of the tips below will help:
- Start by excluding the device one more time. it's possible the exclusion commands from the first run didn't go through.
- If possible, try bringing the hub within direct range of the switch if you were at a large distance the first time. If you have a hand-held secondary controller, this would be the time to bring it out!
- Try the inclusion process again, only this time instead of toggling 3 times, toggle the switch 6 or 7 times at least as quickly as possible. This can help make sure the commands are registered correctly.
- For those of you referring to the older version of the manual, there's a mistake in the inclusion section. You shouldn't try including the device by toggling the switch in an up-down-up motion; this is incorrect. Instead make sure to perform the action as shown in step 3 above. The online and print documentation have been corrected as of February 2018, but this tip is for users who happen to have the older version of the manual.
- And if you find that your switch is connected but it's not responded to remote commands, check out these tips for troubleshooting connectivity.
After exclusion is completed, give inclusion another try to see if that helped the issue.
