Is your ZEN54 0-10V Dimmer installed and powered? Let's get it included to SmartThings! The process is simple; just follow the easy steps below to have your 0-10V Dimmer included to SmartThings. You'll be able to control the device connected to your ZEN54 from the app, create on/off schedules for it and use it in more complex automations.
Please ensure you install the Edge driver for the ZEN54, to ensure that the device is recognized correctly and to provide access to all the advanced settings and functionality for the device. Once the Edge driver is installed, you'll be able to control the device connected to your 0-10V dimmer from the app, create on/off schedules for it and use it in more complex automations.
Important Note: A steady, blinking green is the standard state for the device; as long as the unit has power, it will blink green at a steady pace. The device has an internal relay, which can turn on and off with a click of the Z-Wave button. This means that when you are attempting to include or exclude the device, the clicks need to happen as fast as possible; if the clicks are not completed fast enough, the relay will engage instead and the device will not enter inclusion or exclusion mode. You will know you have clicked fast enough when the LED indicator begins flashing rapidly.
Follow the steps below to add your ZEN54 0-10V Dimmer to SmartThings:
- Tap the plus icon in the home screen
- Tap Add device
- Tap "Scan QR code"
- Scan the QR code on the label printed on the back of your device
- Input the 5-digit DSK from the label on the back of your device if requested
- The app will indicate when the device connects. The LED indicator will blink green to signal communication and turn green for 2 seconds if inclusion is successful or turn red for 2 seconds if the pairing attempt fails.
- Tap Edit to rename the device, and tap Done to save the name
- Tap Done to complete the setup
Not able to include the ZEN54 to SmartThings? Please start by resetting the device via exclusion. The fastest and simplest way to resolve any inclusion or configuration issue is through a Z-Wave exclusion from the SmartThings app. The best part is that this process works even if the device has never been added to SmartThings before!:
- Tap on your hub in the home page of the app or on the device list
- Tap the three dots in the top right
- Tap Settings
- Tap Z-Wave Utilities
- Tap Z-Wave Exclusion
- While the app is searching for a device, press the Z-Wave button on the device 3 times as quickly as possible
- The app will indicate when the device is successfully removed. Tap Done
Now you can try adding the device again.
