So the ZEN04 is included to Hubitat, but showing as offline? This can occur when a device is out of range or didn’t configure properly when including. Trying a Z-Wave Network Repair can help resolve the issue!
Always ensure that your Hubitat platform version is up-to-date first. Next, follow steps below to initiate a Z-Wave Repair to refresh your connections:
Follow the steps below to repair your Z-Wave network in Hubitat:
-
Open Hubitat in your Internet browser
-
Go to Settings
-
Click on Z-Wave Details
-
Click on Repair Z-Wave
Before you can try to include your Smart Plug to Hubitat again, wait until Hubitat confirms that the repair was successful with a "Z-Wave Network Repair finished" message.
If your Smart Plug still has trouble connecting, try some of these troubleshooting tips:
- If you haven’t already, exclude the ZEN04 before including it. This acts as a soft reset to help the device connect, improve communication, and configure correctly.
- You can try extending the Z-Wave signal by adding any non-battery powered Z-Wave device, or a signal repeater, to your network between the device and the hub (switches, plugs, etc.). This will strengthen the mesh and allow the hub to create the most efficient route to the Smart Plug, especially if it is located far away or is experiencing interference. Perform another Z-Wave Repair for the additional device to be recognized and route to be formed.
- Try plugging the ZEN04 in an closer location to the hub to eliminate any range issues. You’ll want to exclude and connect the device to the hub again for it to find the new route to the ZEN04 Plug.
