Having issues getting your ZEN55 DC Signal Sensor included to Hubitat? Let's start by excluding the device first.
Exclusion is a simple procedure that can be done even if the device has never been included to a hub. It is simply a soft Z-Wave reset for the device, and helps to resolve any connectivity or configuration issues.
Important Note: A steady, blinking green is the standard state for the device; as long as the unit has power, it will blink green at a steady pace. The device has an internal relay, which can turn on and off with a click of the Z-Wave button. This means that when you are attempting to include or exclude the device, the clicks need to happen as fast as possible; if the clicks are not completed fast enough, the relay will engage instead and the device will not enter inclusion or exclusion mode. You will know you have clicked fast enough when the LED indicator begins flashing rapidly.
Follow the steps below to exclude the ZEN55:
-
Open Hubitat in your Internet browser
-
Go to Devices
-
Click on + Add Device in the top right corner
-
Click on Z-Wave
-
Click on Start Z-Wave Exclusion
-
While the device is searching for a device, click the Z-Wave button on the ZEN55 3 times as quickly as possible
-
The app will indicate when the device is successfully excluded.
If you receive confirmation that the exclusion was successful, follow the steps below to re-include your ZEN55 to Hubitat:
-
Open Hubitat in your Internet browser
-
Go to Devices
-
Click on + Add Device in the top right corner
-
Click on Z-Wave
-
Click on Start Z-Wave Inclusion
-
While the app says is in inclusion mode, click the Z-Wave button on the ZEN55 3 times as quickly as possible (the LED indicator will start flashing)
-
Rename and confirm the found device
