If your ZAC36 has trouble being added or included to your Ring base station, give exclusion a try first!
It sounds counter-intuitive; however, the process of exclusion simply acts as a soft reset for the device to help with any configuration or inclusion issues. You can exclude or remove the ZAC36 even if it was never successfully added to your Z-Wave network. Remember that it's very important to first mount and calibrate your Titan device before you attempt to include it to your Z-Wave network.
-
Open the Ring app.
-
Tap the menu (☰).
-
Tap Devices.
-
Tap Alarm Base Station or Alarm Pro Base Station.
-
Tap Base Station.
-
Tap the Device Settings tile.
-
Tap Advanced Options.
-
Tap Z-Wave, then tap Remove Z-Wave Device.
Do not tap “Reset Z-Wave Network”. This will remove your entire Ring Alarm network and you’ll need to reset every device
-
Tap Remove. The Ring app will say, “Remove device, listening for device to remove.”
-
Tap the Z-Wave button on the Titan device 3 times quickly - it's a touch button so wait for a beep each time you press it (there will be no tactile feedback like on a push button).
- The Ring app should confirm exclusion.
-
Once exclusion is completed, try re-including the ZAC36 to Ring.
