How to Add the ZEN17 Universal Relay to HomeSeer

Once your ZEN17 Universal Relay is properly powered and its manual functionality verified, you can proceed to integrate it into your HomeSeer network. This integration allows for remote control of the ZEN17 relay and enables its inclusion in your home automation system.

Zooz products are officially integrated with the Z-Wave Plus and the Z-Wave JS Front-End of HomeSeer. If you're experiencing issues with accessing the advanced settings of your device or the unit not properly displaying, we would recommend first updating to the Z-Wave Plus or the Z-Wave JS Front-End, then excluding and re-including your device to your network in order for it to be recognized correctly.

 

Follow the steps below to seamlessly add your ZEN17 to HomeSeer:

  1. In the HomeSeer UI: open the "Devices" tab.
  2. Click + sign at the top right of the page;
  3. Select "Z-Wave".
  4. Click "Continue" to put the hub in inclusion mode.
  5. Click the Z-Wave button 3 times as quickly as possible (the LED indicator will start flashing)
  6. A window should then appear to allow you to select the supported security level; if S2A is selected, a new window will appear for pin entry.
  7. Follow the prompts to assign the device to a specific room/area and rename it.
  8. Double check the information and finalize inclusion by clicking "Continue"
  9. 3 new on/off entities will be created: 1 main device to control all 2 relays at the same time and to adjust advanced settings and 2 child devices to control each relay individually.

If you encounter any issues including your switch to HomeSeer, try excluding it first. The process can be done even if the switch was never included and acts as a type of soft Z-Wave reset that generally resolves most inclusion issues.
