How to Add the ZEN14 Double Outdoor Smart Plug to HomeSeer

Check that your ZEN14 is properly powered and confirm that it's functioning manually. Once complete, it's time to add it to your HomeSeer network. This inclusion will enable you to control your ZEN14 plug remotely and incorporate it into your home automation system. 

Zooz products are officially integrated with the Z-Wave Plus and the Z-Wave JS Front-End of HomeSeer. If you're experiencing issues with accessing the advanced settings of your device or the unit not properly displaying, we would recommend first updating to the Z-Wave Plus or the Z-Wave JS Front-End, then excluding and re-including your device to your network in order for it to be recognized correctly.

 

Follow the steps below to seamlessly add your ZEN14 to HomeSeer:

  1. In the HomeSeer UI: open the "Devices" tab.
  2. Click + sign at the top right of the page;
  3. Select "Z-Wave".
  4. Click "Continue" to put the hub in inclusion mode.
  5. While the system is in inclusion mode, press the Z-Wave button 3 times very quickly (The LED indicator will start flashing blue to confirm inclusion mode and turn green for 1 second once inclusion is completed).
  6. A window should then appear to allow you to select the supported security level; if S2A is selected, a new window will appear for pin entry.
  7. Follow the prompts to assign the device to a specific room/area and rename it.
  8. Double check the information and finalize inclusion by clicking "Continue"
  9. The ZEN14 should display with one main parent device which can be used to turn off/on the entire unit and to change any advanced settings, and two child devices, one for each plug.

If you encounter any issues including your switch to HomeSeer, try excluding it first. The process can be done even if the switch was never included and acts as a type of soft Z-Wave reset that generally resolves most inclusion issues.
