Trouble including your ZEN34 to Alarm.com? Give exclusion a try first!
It may sound strange, but exclusion is just a reset. A device doesn't need to be included to be able to be excluded. However, please note that exclusion before inclusion applies to the 700 series and earlier chip sets. The 800 series devices will not exclude before they have been included; please factory reset the unit instead, then try inclusion again.
From the Home page in the app, choose More > click Manage Devices > under Remotes click on the three dots under ZEN34 > under Actions click Remove Device. If you are running exclusion for a device that has not been included, you can select the three dots next to any device currently in your system. All this does is put your system into exclusion mode. In the steps below, you will activate the device you wish to exclude, and it will exclude the device that you have activated, and not the device you selected in this step (unless this is the device you physically activate):
The system is preparing to remove the Device, please wait > looking for the device > activate exclusion by tapping the lower paddle of the switch 6 times very quickly (the LED indicator will start flashing) > the device has been removed > click Continue to exit the wizard:
