This is product is discontinued and replaced with ZSE70.
Reset is a good move if your sensor is unresponsive to commands or shows no LED activity no matter what you try.
Before resetting the ZSE29, please verify which version of the device you have (printed on the back of the sensor):
- On ZSE29 VER. 2.0, click the tamper switch 5 times firmly, then within 3 seconds, click it another 5 times. The LED indicator will flash to indicate a successful reset. The sensor will then enter auto-inclusion mode for 4 minutes.
- On ZSE29 VER. 1.0, start by opening the battery cover to expose the battery compartment and tamper switch. Then CLICK-CLICK-CLICK-CLICK’N’HOLD the tamper switch for AT LEAST 5 SECONDS. The LED indicator will turn off to indicate successful reset. The sensor will then enter auto-inclusion mode for 4 minutes.
Hard reset will erase all custom settings and recorded activity so that your device is restored to factory settings.
After resetting the sensor, try including it again to your Z-Wave network to see if that helped the issue.
If reset doesn't help or if you have general questions about the process, let us know! We'll be happy to help.
