This is product is discontinued and does not have a replacement yet. New product in development. What does that mean?
There are two ways to add your ZSE19 Multisiren to Vera: auto-inclusion and manual inclusion.
Auto-inclusion is super fast and easy and manual inclusion is a great option if you're troubleshooting inclusion or connectivity issues.
For auto-inclusion:
1. Select the Devices tab in your Vera app
2. Click on the gray "+ Add Device" button
3. Choose Generic Z-Wave Device from the device list
4. Insert the four batteries as shown in the manual (if you already did, take them out for at least 15 seconds before starting the inclusion process)
But if auto-inclusion isn't working, you can also add the siren manually.
For manual inclusion:
1. Insert the batteries, making sure they're oriented correctly
2. Select the Devices tab in your Vera app
3. Click on the gray "+ Add Device" button
4. Choose Generic Z-Wave Device from the device list
5. Click the Z-Wave button 3 times quickly
6. A new siren will appear on Vera's device list
If you're tried both inclusion methods but the device isn't connecting, try excluding the siren from the network. Exclusion is like a soft reset and we find it helps most configuration issues.
If your siren displays as a light or a switch instead, you can configure it manually using these steps:
1. In the Vera online (browser) interface, select the MultiSiren switch device, then click on Advanced.
2. Go to the Params tab and make the following changes:
- device_type: urn:schemas-micasaverde-com:device:Siren:1
- device_file: D_Siren1.xml
- Category: 24
- device_json: D_Siren1.json
3. Click Save changes
