ZEN27 S2 Dimmer Change Log

Here is a list of updates we made to the S2 ZEN27 model so far.

Original release.

Changed association settings to send separate reports for manual and Z-Wave control
Added the ability to control load by pressing any of the paddles

Added on/off and live dimming reports on paddle presses when physical control is disabled for easier smart bulb control
Added a setting to assign custom association reports when physical control is disabled

Added the ability to adjust reporting behavior for disabled physical control
Added night light mode (press and hold the lower paddle to turn the light to low brightness)

Changed the button sequence for enabling smart bulb mode (aka disabling the relay / physical control) to 4-down-and-hold for 10 seconds (tap the lower paddle down-down-down-down'n'hold)

Changed power outage behavior in smart bulb mode
Applied timers to status reports in smart bulb mode
Changed the setting for Z-Wave ramp rate to automatically match the physical ramp rate (Parameter 17 set to default value 0)
Applied the ramp rate settings to Z-Wave triggered brightness transitions (multilevel changes)
Improved single-tap and long-tap timing for scene control triggers

Added a setting to change scene control paddle mapping (Parameter 23)
Added a setting to disable programming from paddles (Parameter 24)
Added basic set reports sent to Group 2 and 3 when the dimmer is operated manually for double tap to full brightness and night light modes
Changed direct association group 2 and 3 behavior (the switch now sends a report whenever a paddle is tapped, regardless of its state
Fixed the instant ramp rate bug (the 3-way switch wouldn't switch the light if ramp rate was set to 0)
Fixed the night light bug (it no longer activates at all when disabled)
Fixed default brightness level bug (the 3-way switch now also honors the value of this setting instead of turning the light back to the last brightness)
Improved power outage behavior in smart bulb mode

This model has been discontinued and replaced with the ZEN77 dimmer. No further updates are planned for the ZEN27 device.
