Be sure to include your ZEN15 Power Switch to the network BEFORE connecting it to any device or appliance.
Since it is officially integrated, you'll be able to control the ZEN15 Power Switch remotely out of the box. However, we recommend you have the new lua Edge driver added so you can access advanced settings and customize the plug. Once the driver is installed, you can include the ZEN15 Power Switch to your network.
Here's how to add your Power Switch to SmartThings:
- Tap the plus icon in the home screen
- Tap Device
- Tap "Scan nearby" (in the corner of the screen)
- While the app says "Scanning...", press the Z-Wave button 3 times very quickly (LED indicator will start flashing)
- The app will indicate when the device connects
- Tap Edit to rename the device, and tap Done to save the name
- Tap Done to complete the setup
* If you’re using an S2 hub, it will ask you to enter the DSK PIN or scan the QR code printed on the plug.
Once you include the ZEN15 Power Switch and move it to its final location, it never hurts to perform network repair to optimize connectivity. This will help SmartThings find the best communication route to the ZEN15 Power Switch. Here's how to repair the network.
If you're having issues including your ZEN15 Power Switch to SmartThings, we'd recommend excluding the device using the instructions here.
