Hard reset can help with a variety of configuration and connectivity issues. You also reset the device's kWh energy use meter if you'd like to refresh the readings.
It's also a good idea to try reset if your RGBW Dimmer is unresponsive to manual or Z-Wave commands, especially if you already gave exclusion a try without any luck. To perform hard reset on the RGBW Dimmer (Just remember that hard reset will erase all custom settings and recorded activity, returning the device to factory defaults):
- Press and hold the Z-Wave button to enter reset mode, then release the button when the LED indicator glows yellow.
- Then quickly click the Z-Wave button again to confirm factory reset. Wait a few seconds until the device resets and restarts - the LED indicator will light up in red when it’s ready.
You can also reset the kWh energy use meter. Here's how to do it:
- Press and hold the Z-Wave button to enter reset mode. Release the button when the LED indicator glows green.
- Then quickly click the Z-Wave button again to confirm the reset.
